GlamCamp is a subsidised Music, Arts and Tech Summer Camp that runs in the Summer holidays. In the past, GlamCamp has worked towards joint concerts with the Alumni of the Glamorgan and Mid Glamorgan Youth Orchestra and Choir from the past 60 years!
Every year, The Glam Organisation puts on a Summer Performing Arts Camp for children of all ages and abilities. The last two years’ GlamCamps, 2022 and 2021 were no exception. In addition to this, in 2020, 90 children of all abilities and ages and from across the UK took part in our virtual camp and explored music, dance, drama, film making, arts and crafts, friendship and their lockdown stories and struggles. Through the power of technology we giggled and dressed up, fell over and sang, laughed and had virtual hugs. Zoom was our teaching platform. Mental well-being was our theme and Music was what brought us all together. In 2021 we launched a blended approach and created sessions online as well as in person.
Last year, GlamCamp2022:All you need is love, inspired by The Beatles, was back in person. Now we are in 2023 and ready for GlamCamp2023 our big production of Hidden Talent: Dream Big Dreams.
GlamCamp2023: We have planned fantabulous music, filming and performing arts experiences. Whether you’ll be playing in the orchestra or band, getting creative in arts and crafts, being boomchikkawow in drama, singing like an angel, dancing like a tiktok pro or joining the tremendously clever Tech Crew! This years’ camp is 2 weeks long and starts on Monday 24th July – Friday 4th August 2023.
